Ta'Nehisi Coates
Ta-Nehisi Coates was born in Baltimore Maryland, to a literary family. His Mother was a teacher and his father was not only a Vietnam veteran and Black Panther, but also a librarian and publisher of Black books. Coates went to Howard University for 5 years, but left to pursue journalism professionally. At The Atlantic, he won much praise for his articles and blog posts, such as “Fear of a Black President” and “The Case for Reparations”. He has also written for The New York Times, The Washington Post and Oprah’s O magazine, and has published several books. Ta-Nehisi's latest piece of work, "The Message," has so far garnered rave reviews. It is doing well on this site, and we hope you will order a copy from us here.
